Dr. Yatisha Blythe Published in Fostering Perspectives

In 2025, Dr. Yatish Blythe, State Coordinator for the North Carolina Foster Care Education Program (NCFCEP), was invited to serve on the Steering Committee for Fostering Perspectives. Foster Perspectives is a free publication for resource parents and child welfare staff in North Carolina sponsored by the North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services (NCDHHS). During a committee meeting, the upcoming newsletter theme—focused on health and well-being while in care—was introduced. The committee identified the importance of highlighting the critical connection between education and well-being. In Dr. Blythe’s role as State Coordinator, she understands the importance of meeting the educational needs of youth in foster care. Her article titled Ensuring Educational Stability 101: Key Information for Foster Parents was included in the February 2026 edition of Foster Perspectives, Healthy Well-being in Care.
